When Old Patterns Get Between You and the Person You Want to Be

You value patience, but struggle not to snap at your child. You have every intention of setting boundaries, but give in when a moment becomes challenging. You believe in letting others lead and learn, but find yourself taking over, even when the stakes are low.

These moments don't necessarily reflect a lack of insight or good intentions. Deeply learned emotional patterns can shape our reactions before we get a chance to choose.

My work brings Advanced Applied Neuroscience (AAN) and intentional storytelling together to help people change those patterns, not just understand them.

By helping the brain practice new responses, we can create more room for choice when emotionally challenging moments arise: a split-second pause in which you can respond intentionally, rather than letting old emotional patterns choose for you.

Life is Made of Moments

Our lives are shaped not only by major decisions, but by hundreds of small moments: everyday snapshots at work, with our loved ones, and in how we treat ourselves. When we begin to experience and respond to those moments differently, those small changes can accumulate and become powerful new patterns, allowing us to reshape deeply learned emotional patterns.

For the past twenty years, I've trained and certified hundreds of executive and life coaches to support their clients' transformation journeys using the principles of Advanced Applied Neuroscience (AAN). More recently, I've brought these same principles to parents and wider audiences.

The frames throughout this site represent those everyday moments, and the possibility of experiencing them differently. Follow the frames that speak to you, and explore how AAN can help you create meaningful change in your life or work.
